- Initially only offered to State Agency staff this training is now available for school personnel and the public. Recent Training Opportunities
- Training for New Programs and New Staff Regarding the Annual USDA Food Order: - Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
- DPI offered a training session specifically for new Food Service staff and programs new to the USDA Food Program. The session is designed to prepare participating agencies in placing the Annual USDA Food Order. The training session covers the basics of planning for an annual order (i.e. what USDA foods to orders, the amounts to order, how to receive the orders, etc.). - Direct Diversion Processing Training: September 25, 2012; 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM; Wisconsin Dells Center at Chula Vista Resort.
- DPI offered a no-fee training session on Direct Diversion Processing prior to the Direct Diversion Food Show scheduled on the same day (Food Show from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.). The session covered the basics of the process, requirements at the school level, etc. Direct Diversion is the process of sending selected bulk, raw USDA foods directly to the selected processors to process into finished end-products. With this option, each school is directly responsible for procuring and selecting processors and finished end-products.
